PORTISHEAD have said it was "amazing" to discover that that RADIOHEAD have been covering the band's new single The Rip.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, PORTISHEAD'S Adrian Utley said he knew nothing of the issue until bass player Colin Greenwood emailed him.
"Colin from the band emailed me to say they had been playing it and that they'd put it up on their site of them playing it in the dressing room - Thom and Jonny,” he said.
"Thom sounds beautiful singing it, it was amazing, such a buzz."
RADIOHEAD have incorporated the song into their live set and also have an acoustic version on their website, reports Festivalwise
On being asked about the band's touring plans for the rest of the year, Utley said: "I don't think we are going to be doing any more gigs this year no, but we'll possibly do some next year."
PORTISHEAD'S Geoff Barrow recently told Xfm that the band are ready to start work on their next album.
